Last Saturday, we performed at The Maui Theater for a program called Whale Tales. We sang a song called "Where in the World are the Whales." I was nervous because I had to walk out on stage first with Steve Grimes, leading the rest of the class. When we were on stage, the lights were so bright that I couldn't see the audience and their reactions. But after the program, people told us that we did a wonderful job. The program provided lunch for all the volunteers, so we ate lunch and watched a few more presentations. It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience.
Yesteray,`` we went on a field trip to the MACC to see students perform in the Hawaii Youth Symphony. They were really good. The speaker explained us that most of theses students never knew how to hold an instrument, let a lone play it. They learned just as a baby would learn to speak. I thought that was astounding because of their precision while performing. You would of never known they were students if you just listened to their music. I was glad to participate in this activity and I hope this won't be the last time I hear their music.
