Today, kupuna (elder) Kaina came to visit our classroom. When she entered the classroom is was obvious that we would learn a great deal. Her presence was very calming, but when she spoke it was full of humility and pride. She taught us the power of aloha, how important it is, and how it is misused many times in present day. Kupuna Kaina relates to me closely, because she is spreading her knowledge to us, the younger generation and is hopeful that we carry on the heritage and traditions of the Hawaiian ways.
