Have you ever sailed in a 9 foot boat in 50 feet of deep ocean water? Our last sailing day on October 23 at the Lahaina Yacht Club started like all the other days but there was less wind in the morning which was boring, but then we sailed out deep sea and found light wind by the big trimarans on moorings. We raced three races which started out great for me every time but in the end I would end up last. On the third race I got fourth which is still kind of bad. Curtis, the fleet captain, later told us we were the only class they have ever taken out past the reef. We sailed in to get lunch which was a salad with pizza! The pizza had a ton of cheese so it was great. After lunch we gave the volunteers our thank you burgees and they loved them! We played "pirate" and capsized each other until it was time to end of sailing. I had a great over all experience at the Lahaina Yacht Club.
